WARMINSTER Town’s brave fightback was in vain as they were beaten 3-2 at home by Devizes Town on Wednesday night.
The visitors were in dominant mood early on and raced into a comfortable three-goal lead courtesy of Rob Mitchell's double and a Robbie Whyte strike.
Warminster then rallied and goals from Beau Blakeman and George Butler hauled them back into the contest but time ran out before they could find an equaliser before the final whistle.
It was a similar story for Warminster on Saturday as they were left to rue a late strike in a 2-1 loss at Almondsbury UWE.
Steve Fitzpatrick fired the home side ahead before Alex Latham levelled the scores, only for Joe Black to snatch a late winner for Almondsbury.
Warminster have two more games next week, starting at home to Chard Town on Saturday before Barnstaple Town travel to Weymouth Street on Wednesday.
