BEN Howe's North Bradley will arrive at Division One champions Freshford United next weekend knowing that nothing more than a victory will be good enough if they are to steal second place away from Bradford United.

Bradley dropped two huge points in their quest for the runners-up spot after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Semington Magpies.

After holding their hosts to a goalless first 45 minutes, they fell behind early in the second period when Scott Askew rose highest to head home a Steve Jackson cross.

Bradley lost Ollie Howe to an ankle injury and Magpies made the most of their numerical advantage.

And with 20 minutes remaining, Matt Jenkins' deflected shot off the unfortunate Mike Grieve earned them an unexpected but deserved share of the spoils.

With the title already in the bag after their 7-3 success away at Hilperton United last weekend, Chris Birleson’s Freshford United went head-to-head with Tony Stevens' side, looking to claim a quickfire double over their rivals.

Freshford were at their very best and in particular Marc Sheppard, who scored a four-timer as Birleson’s men romped home, winning 8-0. Tom Rooney gave Freshford the lead after being set up by Gavin Eyre and Sheppard made it 2-0 with his first of the afternoon when he scored following a free-kick.

After the break, Freshford cut loose and a second for Sheppard made it 3-0. Matt Lay created goal number four, this time it was Dave Percival who found the net.

Percival was instrumental in Freshford’s fifth, which saw Sheppard complete his hat-trick and after Marc Sheppard took his tally for the game to four Rooney added goals six and seven to complete his hat-trick.
