FROME Town have delved into the transfer market for the first time this summer, snapping up four new players ahead of the 2015-16 season.

Striker Tyler Sibbick and midfield duo Rob Hobbs and Joe Tumelty all arrive from Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West side Larkhall Athletic.

Sibbick, who was on Frome’s books as a youngster, has been highly sought after throughout the close season after netting 32 league goals for the Larks last term as they qualified for the play-offs.

Town boss Adrian Foster has also recruited Steve Hulbert from Toolstation Premier Division outfit Bradford Town, with the defender joining his brother Ricky in the Robins ranks.

Foster said: “Tyler was being tracked by a lot of clubs this summer, both from our league and higher, and some good deals were put before him.

“Credit to him, it wasn’t all down to money and he wanted to come to Frome. We had some good chats and we are really pleased he agreed to join us.

“He has scored a lot of goals over the last few years but both Joe and Rob were key players for Larkhall last year as well, so to get one of them was great but to secure all three is really good news.”

Goalkeeper Darren Chitty has agreed a new one-year contract.

Jack Vallis and Aaron Rodriguez have also put pen to paper on new deals at the Blindmans Brewery Stadium.

CHIPPENHAM Town manager Mark Collier has confirmed that veteran striker Charlie Griffin won’t be returning to the club.

The 35-year-old striker rejoined the Bluebirds for his third spell at Hardenhuish Park in February.

Collier has signed teenage full-back Scott Bevan, who joined Swindon Supermarine on a dual-registration deal from Forest Green Rovers last season.
