WESTBURY United chief James Goddard is hoping that Wednesday night’s loss at Roman Glass United proves to be little more than a bump in the road.
United’s three-match unbeaten run was ended as they lost 3-1 in Bristol, Shavon Allen netting the visitors’ consolation goal and Goddard wants to see Westbury back on-track straight away.
“We need to get better when things aren’t going our way. We need to learn to grind out results,” said Goddard, whose troops beat Bishop Sutton 3-1 on Saturday thanks to goals from Mark Young, Levi Wood and Nathan Hallett-Young.
“We've played well in recent weeks and we're a better team than we were a month ago. We were poor on Wednesday and we need to get back to how we've been playing."
