BRADFORD Town boss Paul Shanley was left frustrated at his side’s failure to kill off Bridport as they missed out on a second win in a week.
Having dispatched bottom side Welton Rovers 5-0 on Saturday, courtesy of braces for Sam Jordan and Neikell Plummer as well as Alex Monks’ strike, Bradford travelled to Dorset looking for three more points.
All looked rosy for Shanley’s side when Lee Fernandez put them in front after 15 minutes, but they were unable to kick on from there.
Two quickfire goals from Mark Salter put Bridport ahead at the break and the home side made the game safe in the second half when Jamie Beasley hit the net.
Shanley said: “On Saturday, we were exceptional. We took our chances that came along and we dominated from start to finish.
“Tuesday night was a total reverse. We went 1-0 up but then missed a few more opportunities to move into the driving seat.
“They were low on confidence as they hadn’t won at home this year and I think if we’d scored again, that would have been it.
“They got one back at the right time and then led at half-time, and in the second half, we were disappointing. We didn’t cause them any problems.”
Bradford play a fourth straight away game on Saturday when they travel to lowly Clevedon Town.
