WESTBURY suffered the embarrassment of becoming just the second team to lose to Bishop Sutton in the league this season when they were beaten on Tuesday night.

Mark Young was back in the United line-up and led the line as Westbury dominated early on, forcing numerous corners, one of which led to James Hounsell nodding the ball over the line but being denied by an offside flag.

Joe Cavalla then brought an excellent save out of Reece Joint and Marc Scammell had a header blocked on the line.

Sutton were dangerous in attack as Cameron Mastromarino and Sam Downes both went close before the latter opened the scoring.

United levelled quickly when a lovely move between Reece Mitten, Zayn Alime and Cavalla saw the ball played to Young, who fired a 20-yarder past Joint.

Slack defending cost Westbury again before the break when Josh Dakwa cut in from the right and finished confidently, and that proved to be the winning goal.

James Goddard’s side were also beaten 2-1 at home by Radstock Town on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, efforts from Rico Sobers and Craig Wilson put Radstock in control before Chris Gait got a consolation for United.
