IT WAS a familiar feeling for the Stiffs on Wednesday night as they went down 2-1 against Trowbridge Town Reserves in Division Two.
Ade Giles’ side were left feeling very aggrieved the last time these sides met as the Stiffs were 3-1 up when the referee bizarrely abandoned the game due to heavy rain.
The teams met again at Woodmarsh in the rescheduled fixture in midweek and Jason Truckle gave Trowbridge a first-half lead which was cancelled out by Rob Clarke’s excellent free-kick.
It looked like missed chances would prove costly for Trowbridge before Alex Dobbin, in only his second appearance at the age of 16, scored the winner with a clinical finish.
