REIGNING champions Trowbridge Town will begin the new Wiltshire Senior League season at home to Pewsey Vale Development.

The Bees, who topped the table by 11 points last term, kick off their latest campaign at Woodmarsh on Saturday and will be looking to lay down a marker against their east Wiltshire opponents, who were known as Vale of Pewsey last term.

Meanwhile, two league newcomers meet as Bromham host Cricklade Town.

Villagers Bromham will be playing at New Road this season and their first assignment sees them lock horns with Cricklade, the former Hellenic League side that have reformed after folding in 2013.

Also new to the league are Malmesbury Victoria Development, whose first team are currently enjoying their first season in the Toolstation League, whilst Lydiard Millicent join Bromham as another village side to enter the division ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.

The Vics go to Marlborough Town on the opening day, whilst Lydiard are also on the road at Wilts Calne Town.

Sarum Youth, who finished bottom of the pile last term, have left the league, along with Trowbridge Wanderers.

Chippenham Park Development host last year’s runners-up Shrewton United whilst Wroughton take on Devizes Town Reserves.
