REIGNING Trowbridge & District League Division One champions Luxol St Andrews will begin the new season at Freshford United tomorrow.

Luxol, who beat Warminster Town Reserves to the title thanks to a better goal difference, travel to Brown’s Park where they suffered a final-day loss last term.

Another mouthwatering fixture sees former Salisbury League outfit and current Wiltshire Junior Cup holders Stockton & Codford host last terms runners up Warminster Town Reserves in what should be a tight opener.

Heytesbury and near-neighbours White Horse FC go head to head with the villagers looking to stretch their unbeaten run over their guests to three matches.

Hilperton United face a tricky opener at home to newly-promoted Westbury Town who have lost many of last season’s Division Two-winning side to the Three Daggers.

Local rivals Semington Magpies and Melksham Town A meet at Little Marsh, while Meadow Lane will host Westbury United Reserves and Trowbridge Town Reserves.

The league welcomes seven new teams to Division Two and all bar Bradford Town Youth will be in action on the opening afternoon.

Three Daggers, among the favourites to take the title at the first time of asking, travel to Calne Eagles.

Real Rudloe are tipped to give Daggers a run for their money and host Aces FC.

Melksham Town B tackle Zeals, who managed just three wins last season.

Trowbridge Town A have home advantage against The Stiffs.

Newcomers Warminster Town A and Trowbridge Wanderers Development complete the list of first-day fixtures.
