MELKSHAM Town B travelled to Trowbridge Wanderers Development for their latest Division Two outing looking to bounce back from their 10-2 defeat at Calne Eagles last weekend.

The hosts were hoping to chalk up their first victory under Ross Pugh and they came out on top as they overturned a half-time deficit to claim a 5-1 win.

Dan Walker’s goal for Melksham saw them take an interval lead but this was cancelled out by second-half goals for Myles Woodward who scored twice, Harry Riley, Louis Stillman and Max Bouguard which handed Wanderers a deserved three points.

A 6-1 victory for Bradford Town Youth at home to The Stiffs saw Mark Jones newcomers maintain their winning start.

Louis Woodford put Bradford ahead from the penalty spot and Matty Turner made it 2-0 before Steve Lewin got Stiffs back in the game when he found the net late in the first half.

Cieran Taylor restored a two-goal cushion for Bradford prior to Quinton Barhan and Chris Office opening their accounts for the club.

A second of the afternoon from Taylor made up the winners half dozen.

After suffering a last-minute defeat at Warminster Town A last weekend, Jason Carter’s Zeals side had the unenviable task of trying to halt the Three Daggers juggernaut.

Phil Hampson’s side, who had netted nine times in their opening two matches, were in the goals again as they more than trebled their goals score for tally with a 20-1 success.

Martin Johnson and Scott Walford helped themselves to four goals apiece, Michael Johnson and Joe Moloney weighed in with three goals each, while Mark Young and Phil Hampson netted doubles.

A goal each for Adam Bishop and Matty Morgan completed the romp. Shane Rendell replied for Zeals.

Warminster Town A, who snatched a last-minute victory last week over Zeals, saw roles reversed this weekend as a last-gasp goal earned Trowbridge Town A a 2-1 triumph.

A fifth goal in three starts from Drew Eglin saw Warminster take a 25th minute lead.

Trowbridge got back on level terms on 40 minutes through 16 year old Ben Phillips who headed home at the far post to make it 1-1.

With seven minutes remaining Trowbridge grabbed what proved to be the winner, Mike Ritson’s free kick from inside his own half ballooned over the hosts' keeper and into the net to hand Bob Arberry’s team their second win of the season.
