BRADFORD Town have climbed to the top of the Toolstation Premier Division following their 2-1 over Hallen.

Alex Monks had got Danny Greaves’ side off to the perfect start when he converted his penalty after Kane Simpson was brought down.

That goal in the first half was the only one from the opening 45 minutes as Bradford Town looked good to stretch their unbeaten run.

It was five minutes into the second half they managed to level the score, only for Karim Kendall to pop up with the winning goal in the 71st minute.

Melksham Town started the day as the league’s pace setters, but their 3-1 defeat away at Shepton Mallet cost them dearly as they have to make do with second place.

Tyson Pollard’s hat-trick was enough for the home side to claim the win, Melksham are now three points off the top.

Meanwhile in the Toolstation First Division Warminster can boast a 3-1 away win over Portishead Town, Francois Allen, Jack Miluk and Eben Mortimer-Taylor all getting on the score sheet.

Despite Warminster’s win, they were the only local side who were able to win all three points this weekend.

Chippenham Park were beaten 3-0 by a bullish Keynsham Town, Ben Harris got the first before a Matthew Brown double killed the game.

Jordan Matthews’ solitary goal wasn’t enough to prevent Devizes Town falling to a 4-1away defeat.

Westbury United also came away from their game empty handed as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Radstock Town, Sean Bereton scored their only goal.

Calne Town were on the wrong end of a 2-1 score, as they allowed Almondsbury to take all three points home with them.

All three goals came in the second half, with the visitors taking the lead ten minutes after the break when Joe Weare headed home, Jordan Davies then doubled their lead before Aaron Hopkins netted an equaliser.

Ed Wilkins was the hero of the day for Malmesbury Victoria as his injury time header salvaged a point against Chard Town despite having a two goal advantage. In the Sydenhams Division One, Pewsey Vale were pumped 8-2 by Ringwood Town after thanks to Lee Vint and Matthew Steer both getting doubles while Charlie Heggan, Michael Johnstone, Peter Richmond-Cole and Tom Faulkner topped the tally up to eight.
