BRADFORD Town lost top spot in the Toolstation League Premier Division but retained their unbeaten record despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Clevedon Town on Saturday.

The home side fell behind with 10 minutes of the first half remaining at Trowbridge Road as Daine O'Connor struck for the visitors.

But Danny Greaves' men were level in the second half as substitute Matt Morris netted, although the home side were unable to find a winner against Clevedon, who finished with 10 men as Jake Llewellyn was sent off.

Malmesbury Victoria made it two away wins in five days when they edged out Wiltshire rivals Westbury United 1-0 in the First Division on Saturday.

A powerful header from Ed Wilkins in the opening skirmishes of the second half was enough to snatch  the points for the Vics, who remain in the top four in the First Division table.

Manager Kevin Bridgeman said: “We battled hard and were organised throughout the team and the spirit was absolutely fantastic.

“We started a little slowly in the first 10 minutes and Westbury hit the post but apart from that, we controlled possession.

“We’ve got a break from the league in midweek when we travel to Swindon Supermarine in the Wiltshire Senior Cup and hope to continue from the last two superb away performances.”

Bridgeman’s side, who were promoted as champions of the Wiltshire League last term, were also 3-2 winners away at Portishead Town last Tuesday evening.

Calne Town got the better of county rivals Corsham Town in their derby clash on Saturday evening, winning 3-2 at Bremhill View.

Ollie Webb extended the lead just after the hour mark and Pring's second was not enough for Nigel Tripp's Corsham.
