FROME Town were able to bounce back from last weekend’s disappoint result with a 2-1 win over Slough Town.

Captain Sam Teale set the tone early on when he broke the deadlock in the fourth minute to give the away side an early lead.

Frome continued to carve out chances to double their lead but were unable to do so as they went into the interval a goal to the good.

The second half was a different story to the first as Slough came charging out of the blocks to make up for a lacklustre first half display.

Much to the annoyance of the home contingent of the 430 supporters, Frome then got what they were looking for despite having to wait for it.

Ollie Knight was the man to seal the win in the 67th minute when he latched onto a cross to the back post before applying a side footed finish from eight yards out.

Their two goal lead was short lived as Marcus Mapstone gave away a penalty and a chance for the hosts to get back into contention.

The home side made the most of the opportunity when James Dobson fired his penalty low and hard into the corner.

Despite conceding a penalty three minutes later, Slough were unable to mount a comeback of any gravity as they lost 2-1.
