FROME Town produced another impressive performance to score their third away victory in a row as goals either side of half-time from Jake Jackson and Ollie Knight led to an excellent 2-0 victory at Dunstable that keeps Frome in sixth place in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

Frome were able to name the same team that had won at Hayes and Yeading in the week, with the exception of Marcus Mapstone coming back into the centre of defence, Sam Teale moving to left back and Chris Gregan moving to the subs bench, though Dan Cleverley, Mitchell Bryant, Jordan Walker and Aiden Kirby were all unavailable.

Despite fog lingering throughout the match it never became a serious problem and after the early sparring, Frome were first to show as Jon Davies brought a save from Jamie Head and from the resulting corner, Mapstone headed just wide.

Frome continued to make the running, with a Jake Jackson shot blocked and Mike Bryant and Ollie Knight combining well before denied by Head, and after a powerful Teale drive was blocked, Dunstable created their first chance as a cross was whipped into the six yard box only to find no one there.

Davies again brought a save from Head with a left-foot shot and the keeper had to be alert to just claim the rebound before Jackson arrived.

With Dunstable obviously showing signs of frustration with the way the match was going, Frome finally got the goal they deserved in the 42nd minute as Davies whipped a cross into the box following a throw in and Jackson was on hand to finish with his third goal in two games.

The second half started with Dunstable missing a great chance right at the start but Connor Roberts and Kyle Phillips between them managed to keep the ball out, but Frome then struck a killer blow in the 50th as Knight headed a Bryant cross home at the far post following good link up play with Davies.

Dunstable had a chance to reduce the arrears shortly after as Phillips came out of his goal only to lose the ball and a clearance off the line saved the day, but Frome were soon back in the driving seat as Knight latched onto a great crossfield ball from Clayton Green and brought another good save from Head.

Jon Davies almost scored an outrageous individual goal as he ran the length of the pitch only to be denied by Head at the end, but then Dunstable had a period of possession that lead to several corners and free kicks, none of which troubled the Frome defence.
