MELKSHAM Town broke their duck at their new multi-million pound Oakfields home with a 2-0 win over Cadbury Heath in the Toolstation League Premier Division on Saturday.

Darren Perrin's side, who were dumped out of the FA Vase by Toolstation Premier leaders Bristol Manor Farm in their first match at their new home last weekend, maintained their place inside the top four with a goal in each half.

Sam Jordan netted the opener on 20 minutes and Luke Ballinger sealed the win 10 minutes from time.

On a weather-hit day locally, Chippenham Park stretched their unbeaten run to four matches and claimed back-to-back wins for the first time this season as they edged out First Division leaders Wellington 1-0 at Hardenhuish Park.

Brett Partner's side, who had ended a 16-match winless streak with a 2-1 success over Westbury United the previous weekend, climbed the table with a stunning result courtesy of a Darrin Moss strike.

The news was less good for Corsham Town, who slipped to third bottom in the table after a 3-1 reverse at third-placed Cheddar, despite a strike from Dan Harvey.

Matches involving Bradford Town in the Premier Division and Calne Town, Devizes Town, Malmesbury Victoria, Warminster Town and Westbury United in the First Division, as well as Pewsey Vale in Sydenhams League Division One, were postponed.
