With Calne Eagles already guaranteed first division football next season, Three Daggers are the team expected to join them and an 8-3 victory away at Warminster Town A means that Sam Tucker’s side are just one win away from claiming a promotion spot.

Daggers were 7-0 up through goals from Ryan Underwood, who scored a hat-trick, Dean Murden, Lee Murden and two stunning free kicks from first-half substitute Wayne Wheeler.

The youngsters of Warminster fared a lot better in the second half as they scored three goals to Daggers one which saw Wheeler complete his hat-trick.

Liam Gibbens netted a treble for Warminster to take his tally for the season to 26 in all competitions.

Calne Eagles remain unbeaten in the league after a 6-1 win over The Stiffs in a game that was played on the 3G pitch at Beversbrook.

Calne dominated possession throughout the entire match but they came up against stubborn opponents, who kept a superb defensive shape throughout, but also who ran out of steam in the last 30 minutes of the game.

Calne took the lead after 23 minutes when Mickey Taraskevics finished neatly from 10 yards out to cap a superb prolonged period of possession from the home team.

They then doubled their lead when Adam Welch scored his 27th of the season with a typically clinical finish.

The Stiffs pulled a goal back shortly before half time when Chris Giles forced the ball over the line from close range after Calne had failed to deal with a free kick from 35 yards out.

In the second half Calne continued to dominate possession but The Stiffs were making it incredibly difficult for the home team to create chances.

However, with 62 minutes gone a great left wing run and cross from Karl Sharratt was superbly finished off by Kay Gleed to make the score 3-1 and finally break The Stiffs' resistance.

Shortly after this goal Calne defender Will Lees, who after moving away from the area was making a rare appearance, headed home a Gleed corner.

Then with 14 minutes left, Calne midfielder Will Gale repeated the trick when he headed home Mickey Taraskevics’ corner kick.

In the dying moments a superb individual goal from Gleed completed the scoring.
