A HUGELY entertaining match saw Frome and Kettering share six goals.
With both sides shorn of key players, Frome took the lead after just 16 seconds as a ball from Darren Jefferies allowed James Fitzgibbon a run on goal from the left wing and his low finish gave Paul White no chance.
Kettering equalised in the 19th as Aaron O’Connor applied a superb flicked header to a left wing cross and Fitzgibbon then produced an equally good header in the 30th minute to head home a George Miller free kick to put Frome back in front.
It was 2-2 at half time as Kettering’s James Brighton finished off a four-man attack with a lethal finish and with Kettering got their noses in front in the 56th minute as James Hull cut in from the right to shoot low and the ball took a big deflection off Jordan Walker’s outstretched leg.
The equaliser and goal of the game arrived in the 68th minute as Frome debutant Ryan Bath headed the ball back for Ollie Knight to hit a 20-yard volley into the corner.
