CORSHAM Town have announced the appointment of Jamie Harrison as their new manager, following the departure of Nigel Tripp.

The new manager has been given total control of the playing side of the club, including the first-team and the reserves.

The club, who are in the Toolstation League First Division released a statement which said “We are committed to building a strong club both on and off the pitch, which predominantly works with people from the local community and develops young players from within Corsham and the surrounding area,” it read. “Jamie has the appropriate experience and knowledge to make this happen.

“He shares our vision to build a community club, an organisation that can provide football for all in the Corsham and surrounding areas.

“Encouraging the development of several teams representing the club at different levels, including Youth and Ladies teams.

“Jamie is committed to playing an active role in building a relationship with AFC Corsham, local schools and the community, creating a playing structure that supports and enhances the development of the players at Corsham Town Football Club.

“Promotion into the Western League Premier is our priority and Jamie will be looking to build a squad over the coming months that can achieve this.”

Corsham and former boss Tripp left the club after turbulent times saw him sacked, but was then reinstated at Southbank Ground, only for him to step down at the end of the season.
