BRADFORD Town boss Danny Greaves was over the moon after being able to convince Sam Jordan to return to Trowbridge Road.

The prolific striker links up with Greaves after deciding to leave the club when he took the reins ahead of last season.

Since then, Jordan had spells with Weymouth and more recently Melksham, where he scored 13 goals in 26 appearances.

Meanwhile, Greaves was steering the Bobcats to their most successful league season, as they claimed fifth place in Toolstation First Premier Division.

With the squad already back in pre-season training for the new campaign, Greaves thinks Jordan will only add to the group he has assembled so far.

“Last summer, when I joined the club, he was one of the first people I spoke to and obviously tried to keep, but, at that time, he felt it was right to test himself at a higher level,” said Greaves.

“He’s turned down a number of clubs from higher leagues to come back, I think he sees the ambition at the club and what we are trying to do.

“He knows a lot of the boys already, his goal record speaks for itself and you know what you’re going to get.”

Bradford have also signed midfielder Will Hallston and defender Billy Fletcher, while Kane Simpson and Kevin Davies have left the club.
