CORSHAM Town manager Jamie Harrison says his side need to take their chances if they want to claim more points in the Toolstation League First Division.

With just one win so far, Harrison was disappointed to see his troops slip to a 1-0 defeat at home to Sherbourne Town despite a plethora of chances on Saturday afternoon.

Seven days prior, Harrison had recorded his first win as Corsham boss, with a 1-0 win over Ashton & Blackwell United.

“It was disappointing, I’ve had a look at the results and we knew if we could put a run together we would climb up the table,” he said.

“We didn’t follow up our first win of the season with the second because we are just not finishing our chances.

“We are just not putting the ball in the back of the net. Our defence was tight again and Sherbourne didn’t really trouble us that much.”

Saturday will see Corsham welcome Wincanton Town to the Southbank Ground, where Harrison will be looking to get back to winning ways.

“If we can put the ball in the back of the net then we will start to win a lot more games,” added Harrison.

“We have a number of forward options but we have got our targets too and we are looking to strengthen our squad.”

Warminster Town were only able to register a point over their last two games as they lost 1-0 away to Ashton & Blackwell United, before playing out a 0-0 draw away to Chippenham Park on Tuesday.

Westbury United were 6-0 winners away at Portishead Town on Saturday, with goals coming from Joshua Ferguson, Jamie Jordan and Martin Johnson, plus a double from Mark Robinson and an own goal.

The followed that up with a 1-1 draw at home to Almondsbury on Wednesday, Dan Price getting United’s goal.
