WESTBURY United Development who suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Trowbridge Town Reserves in the A&B Cup just a fortnight ago bounced back from that defeat with a 4-2 win over the Bees to claim their first victory of the season.
Westbury raced to a 3-0 first-half advantage courtesy of Marc Lanfear's hat-trick and an Allan Clarke own goal completed their tally as Gavin Francis scored twice for Trowbridge, including a penalty.
Defending champions Melksham Town A ended their five-match winless start to the season with a thumping 9-0 victory at home against Warminster Town Reserves.
Derek Wheeler scored twice and a goal each for Sean Fordham, Jordan Kirk, Ben Macey, Dan Broom and Dave Jenkins wrapped up the victory.
With Stockton & Codford in Junior Cup action, Luxol St Andrews missed out on the chance to take over pole position after they were beaten 2-1 at Semington Magpies.
Luxol led at half-time through a Josh Hard goal, but Antony Lamb's second-half double earned Magpies a second win of the campaign.
