BATTLING Bradford Town suffered a heartbreaking Les Phillips Cup defeat to Toolstation League Premier Division leaders Street last night - despite fighting back from 2-0 down with 10 men at the Tannery, writes KERRY MILLER.

The Wiltshire side were playing their third cup game in six days, having heroically won in the FA Vase at Buckland Athletic on Saturday and then lost after extra-time at Westbury United in the Wiltshire Senior Cup on Wednesday.

Bradford's hopes took a nose-dive after half an hour as Dan Cottle was sent off for a wild tackle on Street's Matt Hurley and the home side took advantage as Steve Murray netted twice in first-half stoppage time.

After making three changes at the break, Bradford were handed a lifeline as Lenihan fired home from the penalty spot after Lewis Tasker had handled the ball.

Then, deep into injury time, Lenihan slammed home the equaliser to send the contest into an added 30 minutes.

The game opened up during that period, but Street finally settled it as Harry Foster nodded home the winner at the far post to finally subdue Danny Greaves' visitors.
