DANNY Greaves says individual errors are hampering Bradford Town’s season as they failed to convert a 3-1 advantage away to Bitton and had to make do with a point.

The Bobcats held a two-goal advantage with eight minutes to play, before collapsing, and registering a 3-3 draw, with goals coming from Will Hailston, a Rickie Scott free-kick and striker Sam Jordan.

Despite being second in the Toolstation League Premier Division, Bradford have picked up a point from their last two games following their defeat to Melksham Town on Boxing Day.

Greaves states his team’s recent form would be slightly better, had his players cut out their individual mistakes.

“It was a disappointing result, considering we were 3-1 up with eight minutes to go, so you would expect to win that game,” he said.

“Individual mistakes are costing us. Over the last two games, if you count the Melksham (on Boxing Day) game and Bitton, we have let in six goals and five of them have been (from) really poor mistakes.

“We know if we can eradicate those we are a better side, and we will have more points on the board.

“In terms of picking the boys up, I don’t think there is too much work to be done to be honest because over the course of the year, we haven’t been making those mistakes.

“From a management point of view, there isn’t too much you can do to get rid of those mistakes, the players just need to get back to their levels.”

As they finish the calendar year eight points behind runaway leaders Street, Greaves believes his players deserve the benefit of the doubt, but ordered a warning that the recent run of errors must stop before their FA Vase clash with Wessex League Premier Division side Newport (IOW).

“If we make mistakes trying to do the right thing, then you don’t really give them much stick and you can’t really if it is poor decision-making,” he added.

“If it is the same mistake happening over and over again, then you have a cause to have a word.

"It is starting. Over the last two games we have made a number of errors.

“Over the course of the season the boys have been performing well so they have a little bit of credit, but it can’t continue.”
