BRADFORD Town were able to put their FA Vase heartbreak behind them as they thumped Bridport 5-2 in the Toolstation League Premier Division at Trowbridge Road.

In a seven-goal thriller, Karim Rendall opened the scoring with a tidy finish from a corner, before Bridport hit back to make it 1-1.

Sam Jordan was the next Bradford scorer as he converted from the spot after being hauled down by the visitors to make it 2-1 at the break.

The second half was just as frantic, Rendall doubling his tally for the afternoon to make it 3-1, much to the frustration of the away side.

Jordan had his afternoon cut short after an incident with an opposition player, which left him leaving the pitch with a leg injury.

Substitute James Moon made it four with a spectacular effort. His cross evaded everyone and nestled into the back of the net.

Bridport pulled another one back before Will Hailston completed the rout by rounding the keeper and scoring.
