ACES remain top of Group Two, despite suffering their first defeat in the group stages of the Division Two Cup.

A 2-0 victory for Holt leaves them in third place after just two games.

Jack Parker latched onto a long ball from Mark Maguire to fire Holt ahead. Dan Mercer in goal for Holt made an unbelievable save to keep it at 1-0 and the villagers sealed their win on 85 minutes through Otis Young who broke clear to calmly slot home for 2-0.

A 9-0 win for Heytesbury at home to Trowbridge Wanderers Development saw them claim a second straight win in Group One, leaving them top of the pile and firm favourites to make the semi-final stages.

Craig Sheppard was the star performer, scoring six of the nine and having a hand in the other three.

Sheppard scored all four of the first-half goals, his second brilliantly set up by Corey Airey.

He then made it 5-0 before teeing up Charlie Waylen for a 25-yard thunderbolt.

Jamie Howse lashed in from 25 yards from another Sheppard assist and then Sheppard scored from the penalty spot for his sixth of the game and 50th of the season in just 18 games.

A great individual effort from Waylen made it 9-0, but Sheppard was again on hand to cap an amazing performance.

With their ground at Clarendon Academy being unplayable, an 11th hour switch saw Greyhound reverse their Division Two Cup clash to Zeals and the move paid dividends as a 4-3 win for Darren Brewer’s team moved them into second place in the Group One table.

Aaron Carter’s double and a single for Matt Carter weren’t enough for the hosts as a Lee Ridout effort and a first-ever hat trick for the club from Simon Parfitt wrapped up the points for Greyhound.
