WITH the battle between Melksham Town A and Freshford United lost to a waterlogged pitch, Stockton & Codford claimed a share of top spot in Division One.

A 3-2 win at a depleted Three Daggers saw them reach their goal.

After being superbly set up by Dean Murden, Phil Hampson gave Daggers the lead which they held until the 40th minute when Sam McEntee restored parity for Stockton.

Jack Hayward put Daggers 2-1 ahead only for Mark Bailey and McEntee, with his second of the afternoon on 78 minutes, to win it for Stockton.

A 3-2 victory for Semington Magpies over Calne Eagles should see them safe in Division One for another season, while the defeats for Eagles means that they are in a four-way battle to beat the drop.

Will Gale and Sam Rogers were on target for Eagles in a first half that saw Matt Bowery’s own goal and a Rich Allum strike take the teams into the break locked together at two apiece.

Semington secured maximum points, thanks to a second own goal of the contest, the unfortunate Charlie Bunworth turning home a Rich Allum effort.

Having been told their game was off and then on again, Hilperton United were left with just 10 players for their trip to bottom of the table Westbury United Development.

Although they battled bravely the villagers, who twice came from behind, conceded a late goal to suffer a 4-3 loss.

Adam Kenish and Dale Rowland gave Westbury a 2-0 lead before goals from Kieran Fereday (penalty) and Tom Blackman got Hilperton back on level terms.

A second from Rowland regained the lead for Westbury which was cancelled by Blackman who restored parity for a second time before Billy Heydon struck the late winner for Westbury.

Relegation-threatened Warminster Town Reserves and Trowbridge Town Reserves shared the spoils from a thrilling 2-2 draw.

With the game played at Stoford Recreation Ground, Warminster were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes through goals from Kyle Fice and Pete Drew.

After their slow start Trowbridge got themselves back in the game, however it wasn’t until the second period and after the introduction of substitute Wictor Wnuk that things went in their favour, Wnuk reduced the arrears and then notched a late second to earn Trowbridge their share of the points.
