BRADFORD Town boss Danny Greaves says his side must cut out individual errors after his team were toppled by Chipping Sodbury at the weekend.

The defeat meant they were leapfrogged by local rivals Melksham Town into second-place in the Toolstation League Premier division standings.

George Box, who was a thorn in Bradford’s side throughout Saturday afternoon, notched the opener as Chipping Sodbury took a home lead.

The Bobcats hit back through Matt Morris as both teams went into the break all square with one goal each.

In the second half, Box proved to be a nuisance for the Bradford defence, as he completed his hat-trick which sealed victory for the home side.

After the defeat, Greaves acknowledged that he may be forced to make changes to his side, as they continue to hinder their own progress with costly mistakes.

“Unfortunately, it is the same couple of people who are making mistakes for us, so maybe that is something I need to look at,” he said.

“I don’t think it is pressure. At the start of the season our aim was to do better than we did last year, and we are on track to do that.

“We are currently on 62 points and last season we delivered 68. We have eight games left to go, so we are well ahead of the stage we were last year.

“From my point of view, we are delivering everything we said we were going to deliver, it is still all to play for.”

However, while the result was disappointing Greaves says he was happy enough with the display his team produced.

Overall, he also fails to see the pressure on his troops as he reiterated the club’s aim to supersede their performance last term, where they claimed a record breaking fifth place, with 68 points.

“Obviously, it was a disappointing result, but it wasn’t a disappointing performance,” he added. “We were a little bit weary of what team would show up after we lost to Street on Wednesday night, and we had a really good reaction.

“We showed some good heart but unfortunately, as has been the case in the last few weeks, individual mistakes are leading to goals against.

“At the moment, every mistake we make is getting punished. Maybe earlier in the season we would have got away with some, but they are being punished.

“However, we can’t dwell on it because we are still in a great position and we need to kick on again now.”
