WESTBURY United joint manager Neil Kirkpatrick has warned his side that ‘nothing has been achieved yet’ following their 2-0 win over Keynsham Town in the Toolstation First Division on Saturday.

United followed on from their impressive 3-0 win against promotion rivals Roman St Glass George with another clean sheet against third-placed Keynsham, boosting the club’s title credentials.

Despite defeating both of their promotion rivals, Kirkpatrick insists his men face more tough fixtures as they prepare to play four games in eight days.

Kirkpatrick, who praised fellow manager Joe Kirkpatrick for his quick-thinking touchline work, said: “I’m pleased with the result.

“Before we were dropping silly points, but there’s still a lot of hard work to do.

“We haven’t achieved anything just yet and we have four games coming up in a short space of time.”

Goals either side of the break from Joe Stradling and Joshua Ferguson earned United a timely win ahead of what will be a busy Easter period for Kirkpatrick’s men.

A derby match against bottom club Warminster Town on Friday is followed by a trip to Cheddar on Monday.

Kirkpatrick said: “Warminster will be a battle. With the rain forecast it will be a heavy pitch, meaning the game won’t be easy for us.

“But we’re relishing this task ahead.

“The lads have kept their discipline in tact so far. We want to continue that.”

Elsewhere, Warminster slipped to another loss as Sherborne Town struck twice to keep them bottom of the division, while Corsham Town played out a 0-0 draw with Chippenham Park.
