BRADFORD Town’s next three fixtures could define their season, according to manager Danny Greaves.

On Tuesday night the Bobcats could only manage a 1-1 draw with seventh-placed Bridgwater, as Matt Morris saw his first-half strike nullified by the hosts in the second half.

With blustery conditions playing their part in the midweek clash, Greaves says a point apiece is probably a fair reflection on proceedings at Fairfax Park.

Bradford, who are second behind the already-promoted Street, now face third, fourth and fifth in their next three games, as they take on Buckland Athletic, Melksham Town and Willand Rovers.

“I think before the game we would saw it as a game that we should be taking three points from, but after how it played out I think a point each is a fair result,” said Greaves.

“We had the better of the first half and they had the better of the second. The conditions were really poor, there was a really strong wind going down the pitch that made it a game of two halves.

“We’ll have to wait and see at the end of the season if it is a point gained or two dropped.

“I think the next three games are what the league is going to come down to. Obviously, we have Buckland on Saturday, Melksham on Monday and then Willand the following Saturday.

“Those games will define our season. We are in good form and we have shown a good reaction when we have dropped a couple of points.”

After facing Buckland at Trowbridge Road on Saturday, Bradford turn their attention to Monday night’s local derby with Melksham.

The last time the two teams met, Bradford were leading 2-0 before the game was abandoned due to bad weather at Easter.

“The last time we played Melksham we were doing well, we turned up and felt like we had a point to prove,” he added.

“We did that in the first 45 minutes and there was a bit of frustration on our part (that the game was abandoned).

“At this point I don't think you have to build the games up, the players will do that naturally and they know how big they all are.

“With such a small amount of games to go and such a massive prize at the end of it, our job is to make sure they’re relaxed and that they can play the game as they normally would.
