NICK Blackwell will make his debut under the Hennessy Sports banner in Kent this October.

The Trowbridge middleweight, who signed with top promoter Mick Hennessey in London last week, is set to fight at the Glow events centre, part of the Bluewater shopping complex, on Saturday October 4.

‘Bang Bang’ Blackwell’s bout will be part of the undercard to the televised MaxiNutrition Knockout final between Bob Ajisafe and Travis Dickinson.

The 23-year-old said: “I can’t wait to box at Glow on the 4th October. I have watched previous events from there and the arena looks fantastic and if the final is anything like the semi-final between Dickinson and Clarkson, then the fans are in for a real treat.

“It will be a great night of boxing. I’m an old-school fighter and I’m in boxing to fight, so I’m going to show the fans what I’m all about on the night.”

Tickets to see who will lift for Blackwell’s Hennessy Sports debut will be available to purchase from 12pm today from Ticketline.co.uk or by calling the Ticketline box office on 0844 888 9991.
