THE Meningitis Trust is appealing to Wiltshire runners to join its teams for the BUPA Great Runs and this year can offer guaranteed places in the Great North, South and Manchester runs.
"We are hoping that experienced runners and first-timers will join our teams," said event organiser Steve Williams.
"The Great Manchester and Great South Run in Portsmouth are shorter runs over flat ground and are an ideal event if this is your first road race, even if you are not super fit. The Great North Run has now been in existence for over 25 years and is the world's biggest half marathon.
"The Meningitis Trust provides its team members with a personalised team vest as well as a full training and fundraising pack. There is a great festival atmosphere at all these events and being part of the team can be a great incentive to keep up your diet or fitness plans. Anyone participating in the events will not only be doing themselves a favour but will also be helping thousands of families whose lives have been devastated by meningitis."
To take part in one of the BUPA Great Runs contact the Meningitis Trust events team on 0845 120 4550 or email events@meningitis-trust.org For more information visit www.meningitis-trust.org/involved
