MEMBER clubs of the Trowbridge Sports Forum can now get motoring with the organisation’s brand new minibus.

The Sports Forum, a partnership between Trowbridge Town Council, Wiltshire Council and almost 20 local sports clubs, have bought a 17-seater minibus that will be available for their members to make use of to travel to matches and other events.

The Sports Forum’s new wheels got on the road for the first time last weekend under the stewardship of Avon Valley Runners and chairman Hayley Bell is hoping that the bright yellow minibus can help keep a spring in the step of local sportsmen and women.

“We’ve had sports clubs coming to us saying that they’ve been struggling to travel, so we applied for funding through the Area Board,” said Bell.

“Clubs will be able to use it to go to games or whatever else they need to go to and hopefully it’s going to be a big help.

“We’d still like to get more clubs on the Sports Forum and hopefully this is another bonus for them which will attract members.”
