TROWBRIDGE middleweight Nick Blackwell has an appointment at London's O2 Arena next month after a date was agreed for his third crack at the British title.

'Bang Bang' Blackwell will tackle John Ryder in the capital on May 30, with the domestic belt on the line.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn won the purse bid for the fight earlier today and has added the bout to an exciting card.

Kevin Mitchell's WBC world lightweight challenge against Jorge Linares and Evgeny Gradovich's IBF featherweight title defence against Lee Selby are on the same bill.

Anthony Joshua will also take on Kevin Johnson while IBF welterweight title holder Kell Brook may also appear.

It will be Blackwell's third crack at the British crown, after previous defeats to Martin Murray and Billy Joe Saunders, the latter fight which was also for the Commonwealth crown, being at the ExCel in December 2012.
