BRADFORD on Avon's Olympic champion Ed McKeever won Team GB's second medal of the inaugural European Games in Azerbaijan this morning.
2012 gold medallist McKeever secured bronze in the men's K1 200m event at Mingachevir, clocking 35.774 to finish behind winner Miklos Dudas, of Hungary (35.132) and Sweden's Petter Menning (35.774).
McKeever was favourite to add to the gold medal he won at London 2012 but the 31-year-old failed to establish himself with his usual fast start and despite briefly nudging ahead, a storming finish from Dudas took the title for the Hungarian.
