BRADFORD on Avon paddlers Ed McKeever and Hannah Brown have both been named in the Great Britain team for the 2015 World Championships in Miland next month.
2012 Olympic champion McKeever, a bronze medallist at the recent European Games in Azerbaijan, had previously been pre-selected for the championships, with the selectors naming the majority of the rest of the team following last weekend’s National & Open Championships Regatta at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham, incorporating the senior, U23, Junior and Paracanoe World selection trials.
McKeever goes in the men's K1 200m, while Brown is selected in the K2 200m alongside Worcester's Emily Lewis.
The World Championships in Milan is the first of two opportunities to qualify boats for next summer’s Rio Olympic Games.
