HOT Chilli Tri Club member Jim Plunkett Cole continued his long-distance challenges by tackling an Ironman distance over 24 hours.
That comes in the midst of his quest to run 10k and complete a sprint distance triathlon a day throughout 2015, whilst raising money for cancer charities.
With the support of fellow Hot Chilli members, Plunkett-Cole dived into the waters of Vobster Quay, rode through night on an 180km route through Wiltshire and Avon before tackling a marathon-distance run and the last leg of his epic challenge.
His next milestone is his 1,000th consecutive daily 10k run, which will come on Sunday, September 27 at the Mells Scenic 7.
Elsewhere, Hot Chilli junior athletes Freddie Webb and Will Cruddington performed well at the London Elite British Series event.
Webb backed up his bronze medal two weeks earlier with fourth place and is in a strong position to finish on the podium at the end of the series. Cruddington came home seventh in the men’s elite event.
Ian Ball and Ross Walford recorded PBs for the event.
There was success for the Cranston family at the Oxley triathlon as Orli claimed a silver medal while her father, Nick, finished sixth.
