TROWBRIDGE racing driver Dan Blake has had a boost to his 2016 preparations after being recognised as one of the top club racing drivers in the country at the Downforce Radio Awards.
Blake took third place in the coveted Club Racer Of The Year category, having been selected for the final 10 after his massive improvements over the 2015 season.
He won three of his last five races, two in the Hyundai Coupe Cup before finishing his season winning his class as part of a Hyundai Coupe Cup team, who raced in the Birkett Six Hour endurance race at Silverstone in October.
Blake has yet to announce his plans for the 2016 season yet, but said: “It was a great honour to have even been selected in the top 10 for the award. Out of the thousands of club racing drivers in the country, to be recognised as the third best this year is a really humbling achievement.
“This will also push me on even more for the 2016 season and my preparations towards it.’’
