JAZZ Carlin breezed into the final of the women's 200m freestyle at the British Championships in Glasgow this morning.
Swindon swimmer Carlin, who now lives in Bradford on Avon, specialises in the longer 400m and 800m freestyle events, but tuned up over the four lengths at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre today.
Swimming in the last of the seven heats, the 25 year old, who trains at the University of Bath, led from the start and dipped under the two-minute barrier, clocking 1:59.33 to finish second fastest of the eight qualifiers for the final behind City of Leeds Georgia Coates (1:59.09).
The final is due to take place during this evening's session, which gets under way at 6.30pm.
