TROWBRIDGE teenager Tom Gale finished a superb third in the men's high jump at the Muller Grand Prix in Birmingham today.
Gale, 18, jumped 2.24m as Qatar's Mutaz Essa Barshim won with a leap of 2.40 metres - a world lead this year - at the Alexandra Stadium.
Syria's world bronze medallist Majed Aldin Ghazal was second.
World 4x100m relay champion Danny Talbot finished sixth in the men's 200m in 20.47 seconds behind Turkey's newly-crowned world champion Ramil Guliyev.
