GOLF: The popular Bowood Pro-Am returns to Bowood Golf and Country Club next month.
Players will be able to team up with the west's top PGA professionals, including Andrew Sherbourne, Mark Plummer and John Hansell, who is director of golf at Bowood.
Hansell, who was made a fellow of the Professional Golf Association in recognition of his achievements in the sport, said: "We are delighted to be launching the new Bowood Pro-Am.
"We will be welcoming a fantastic group of pros including the top names in the western region and pros who have played on the European tours. It is going to be a superb day and team places are going fast so anyone wanting to take part should book their place quickly."
Places are restricted to 40 teams. Each team will be three players and one pro and the best two scores will count.
The maximum handicap for the event is 24 and the cost is £250 per team which includes a two-course meal and the prize giving.
Entry forms are available in the Pro-Shop or by contacting the Bowood Professional Golf Team on 01249 822228.
