RUGBY: Rokoduguni signs Bath deal

BATH have made a second signing of the week by securing Fijian Semesa Rokoduguni on a full-time contract.

Rokoduguni, a reconnaissance tank soldier of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in the British Army, impressed during a trial period with the club, scoring tries on both his appearances with Bath United.

The three-quarter has two caps for the Army, scoring four tries against the Royal Air Force and a hat-trick against the Royal Navy at Twickenham and being named man of the match.

Head coach Gary Gold said: “Roko really caught the eye playing for the Army at Twickenham earlier in the year and continued to do so when he came on trial with us.

"He’s worked hard throughout his time with the Army, but has the desire to play professional rugby and we believe he has the ability to do so.

"He is strong, quick, and very committed, both during games and training, and we’re looking forward to having him in the squad.”

Bath signed South African back row forward Nick Koster from Western Province earlier this week.
