WESTBURY United netted two late goals to progress through to the second round of the Les Phillips Cup at the expense of county rivals Calne Town.

Around 15 minutes in, the Lilywhites took the lead when Levi Cox ran through on goal and rounded Lewis Porter to score after his initial effort was blocked.

With just under ten minutes remaining, United's Danny Hurkett handled the ball in the area and Tyler Sibbick had the chance to make the game safe for Calne from the spot but but Porter saved the Town's striker's spot-kick.

Inspired by this lifeline, United pushed forward with intent and a mix up in the home defence between Rory Sproule and Steve Allison ended in a goal-mouth scramble, allowing Westbury's Paul Beavers to punt home the equaliser.

Then in added time, Calne keeper Allison misjudged the flight of the ball and Nathan Hallett stole in to score the winner for United.

Jeff Roberts and Drew Youngsam's Calne travel to Portishead Town in the league tomorrow evening while Westbury are next in action this weekend against Wootton Bassett Town in the Wiltshire Senior Cup.
