TWO late tries ended Bradford on Avon’s hopes against their Bath visitors.
Down scored twice in the first half against a young home side, the second try coming after a preiod in which Bradford pressed.
Bradford then produced a slick handling move through the backs with wing Matt Edwards going outside his opposite number and passing back inside for fly-half Lawrence Gurney to run in under the posts. Edwards added the conversion.
Although conceding penalties for infringements, Combe Down were let off the hook too many times with several kicks not finding touch resulting in a lack of consistent pressure from the home team.
The score remained 12-7 going into the final minutes, but Combe Down had the last word with two further scores.
