DIVISION Three leaders Westwood News missed out on the chances to increase their lead at the top of the table to 12 points when their match with Trowbridge Rangers at Bobbin Lane was controversially called off.

The pitch had passed an early morning pitch inspection and was marked out ready for the game but was later deemed to be unplayable by the match referee leaving two set of players a little bemused.

The only game in the division that beat the elements was the one at Leighton Sports Centre, Westbury where Bratton Reserves and Bradford United Reserves fought out a 2-2 draw.

When the sides met just a fortnight ago Bradford claimed the spoils thanks to a 4-2 win, since that defeat Bratton have seen a change of manager, the villagers have replaced Fozu Gharban with Dave Griffin and the new boss although not starting with the win he would have liked was happy with his teams performance as they twice came from behind to earn themselves a draw and a deserved point.

Aiden Lane saw his opener for Bradford cancelled out by the first of Frankie McEntegart’s double.  Marc Taylor’s second goal of the season saw Bradford regain the lead.

Bratton fought back in the second period to claim the share of the spoils thanks to a second of the game from McEntegart who took his tally to three for the season.
