BRADFORD battled the elements as well as their Swindon visitors on route to a sixth Dorset & Wilts One North win of the season.
Playing into the wind in the first half, Bradford scored an opportunist try after fine work from skipper and loosehead prop Oli Stacey.
He chased down a speculative kick and charged down the return, which bounced into the hands of fly-half Josh Twyford who ran in under the posts and added the conversion.
That proved to be the only score in the half but the pack got on top of feisty Swindon opponents, while there was stubborn defence from the midfield of Dan Tozer and Andy Kehoe and fine counter attacking from wings Matt Edwards and Ben Shepard and Awdry.
With the weather in their favour after the break, Bradford continued to apply pressure but, despite enjoying a lot of possession they were repelled.
Eventually though, good handling from Twyford, Tozer, Kehoe and Edwards resulted in flanker Josh Smith, supporting superbly to score in the corner.
