CHIPPENHAM Town have announced the signing of two defensive recruits ahead of tonight's clash with Hemel Hempstead Town.

Greg Tindle is back at Hardenhuish Park after leaving the club for spells at Frome Town and Calne Town respectively.

Tindle, who lives in Chippenham, made three appearances for Frome before featuring 28 times for Toolstation League Calne and scoring five goals for the Lilywhites.

18-year-old Cheltenham Town scholar Michael Gonzalo has also joined the Bluebirds on work experience terms.

Defender Gonzalo is one of two youngsters to head out on loan from League Two Cheltenham, with Kieran Thomas joining Cinderford Town, and Robins Centre of Excellence manager Russell Milton told the club's official website: "We just felt it was good for them to go out on loan and to get some experience of mens football.

"I’m sure they can make a difference to the teams they’re going to and they’ll find it totally different so it will be a good education for both of them."

Nathan Rudge's two defensive reinforcements fill the void left by Mani Randhawa, who left the Bluebirds to join Swindon Supermarine last week after failing to make an appearance for Chippenham this season.

Randhawa is expected to make his debut for Marine tomorrow night in the delayed 2012 Wiltshire Premier Shield final.
