FOOTBALL: Calne snap up ex-Chippenham skipper

CALNE Town manager Anthony Brown has pulled off a big transfer coup by securing the services of experienced defender Steve Casey.
Casey, who was Chippenham Town's captain this season before leaving the club last week, joined the Southern League Bluebirds from Calne in 2008 and will finish the campaign back at Bremhill View in the Toolstation League First Division.
Brown says that the Lilywhites beat off competition for the 30-year-old's signature from a host of other clubs, including Frome Town, Paulton Rovers, Larkhall Athletic and Melksham Town.
Calne host local rivals Corsham Town on Wednesday night.
