MATT Banahan says that it’s crunch time for Bath as they look to continue their march towards silverware on all fronts.

The Rec side secured top seeding in the quarter-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup with a 54-13 triumph over Bordeaux Bègles last Thursday, with Mike Ford’s men set to take on Brive in April.

“We’re coming to the business end of the season now – whatever’s come before doesn’t really matter and it’s all about what happens between now and May,” said Banahan.

“We want to be a company that are fighting on all fronts. If we can be in quarter-finals and semi-finals in everything, then we’re moving forward as a club.

“(Against Bordeaux), we were able to go out there and produce a game of rugby that we wanted to play and hopefully the fans enjoyed it too.

“We put our foot on the gas and used it as an experience of keeping that momentum going for 80 minutes.

Bath go looking to build on their unbeaten start to their LV= Cup campaign when they host Cardiff Blues this weekend (kick-off 3pm).

Banahan added: “With us having such a strong squad, people aren’t going to be getting burnt out because these boys can get rotated, with the team still performing.”
