CRICKETERS from across the county were left kicking their heels on Saturday as the wet weather saw off the entire local schedule.

Every match in the West of England Premier League was cancelled whilst there also wasn't a single ball bowled in the Wiltshire Cricket League.

But on Sunday, Goatacre booked their place in the regional final of their National Village Knockout Cup group with a 28-run victory over Great Bedwyn.

Goatacre's Toby Horton and and Bedwyn Neil Maycock both his 79 for their respective sides but four wickets from Matt House saw Brad Dawson's men into the Dorset & Wiltshire final, where they will face either Parley or Shillingstone.

Wiltshire booked a home quarter-final against Norfolkn in the knockout stages of the Unicorns Knockout Trophy after beating Wales by four wickets at Warminster.

Tom Morton starred with an unbeaten 123 as the county made it four wins from four matches in the group stage.
