WILTSHIRE'S bowlers struck back to give the home side a slender chance of ekeing out a victory rom their Unicorns Championship Western Division clash with Devon at Devizes yesterday.
Resuming at 61-1 in reply to Devon's 311 all out in the first innings, Wiltshire were dismissed for 205 in 74.5 overs, opener Jayden Levitt scoring 52 and all-rounder Ashur Morrison 47.
Josh Bess took 5-45 for the visitors, who started their second innings with a useful lead of 106.
But led by the bowling of Tahir Afridi and Jake Roberts, who both took 3-40, Wiltshire had their opponents at 140-7 by stumps on day two.
First-innings centurion Max Curtis scored 41 for Devon, who led by 246 heading into the final day.
